The Flextronics X'mas Hat party cum Comm Session was a good stress reliever. Having to be occupied with work all week, the QA staffs do look forward to this one.
This time, the committee did a pretty good job by getting some place different from the typical grassroot and some lame hotels. Fort Canning park was an awesome place. I have never been there, and was impressed with the ambience the moment i drop from the transport.
The Emcee for the day didnt do any bad either. The doorgift was cool. Then followed by the gift exchange. The whole process was smooth despite the hundreds flooding the BallRoom. On the table, hats and party poppers were all neatly packed for each and everyone of us. Very impressive.
The Mr & Ms Flextronics was funny. Not well done but funny. Well it did keep us entertained anyway. I was moved by Ann Koh. To some, she might be a spoilsport. But when the winner was required by the emcee to hold hands and parade themselves to all, she quickly replied "I'm Married" at the same time showing her wedding ring. Not all manjans will do that... i guess. Anyways, the games conducted were also fun. I think my table did put in lots of effort. Judging byb the prizes we won for games... we were pretty participating a lot.
There was one ugly sight at the party though. One got 6 cans of tomato juice and another got a few packs of instant noodles. A senior engineer was too pissed with these antics that he massed e-mail to the entire network of this incident the next day.
Highlight of the day FOR ME (apart from being half naked infront of all) should be the lucky draw. I won 1st prize! Never before in my life i got so lucky in lucky draws. The prize was a 500 bucks voucher from Global Travel. This would definitely come in handy for my upcoming honeymoon.
I was overall a happy man. Heh!
