there's only very few things i look forward to during hari raya. i have been having this feeling for quite a while and it just never got any better. the only main thing during raya that make me feel sane is the takbir.
The takbīr or takbeer (تَكْبِير) is the Arabic name for the phrase Allāhu Akbar, الله أكبر. Usually translated "God is great" or "God is [the] greatest," it is a common Arabic expression, used as both an informal expression of faith and as a formal declaration.

there's another.. the seek of forgiveness from my folks and loved ones. that very morning before the aidilfitri prayers brings so much meaning. every year. without fail. its when we pour out all our feelings and seek forgiveness... thats one touching moment and the most unbearable feeling i can ever experience. the tears from our eyes are nothing but sincerity.
i dont really care if i have new clothes. i dont really care if there's kueh on the table. i dont really care if there's ketupat or rendang. i dont mind wearing past years clothings. i dont care if there's duit raya (green packet) to give or to get. these are so secondary reasons of hari raya...
