i got to know that my counterparts from vancouver are in my office. jeff, francis and patrick de buse are in town. and i only know about it when it was 9.30am. when ah bee asked me to go for the meeting. i didnt get the message waiyin send earlier. ohh.. perhaps she's sent it to the V3 phone. its with babs. that explains.

i was the database champ over at my side after my training stint in vancouver. so patrick and i worked very closely abt 2 years back. we became buddies. he even offered me to bunk over his place in the meantime for me to settle down... IF i ever happen to migrate to the States. thats was so kind of him and his wife, Katie.

2 years ago, i was in a shitty situation on my last day in vancouver. i had checked out from the holiday inn and knowing only when i reached the airport that my flight was scheduled for the next day. i got no one to turn to than patrick. he had earlier sent me to the airport and now, he is coming back to save me. if only i do have that much cash on hand, i'd probably bunked in a motel or something (thats the problem when u had spend 3 grand over 2 weeks). but the thing is i dont have much. so here comes patrick to save the day. he took a day off from work and brought me over to bunk in his place. his family was making me feeling very welcomed. If i were not to bunk over his crib, i had probably be among those dudes sleeping at PDX (Portland Airport).

Patrick's among those good americans who dont have a foul language in his dictionary. a man full of knowledge with scriptings and always have a collection of cool, high end gadgets. his not the typical lazy american who would bull his way thru life.

Now that he's here in my country, i felt that i have to repay his kindness in showing him around. (that was my promise to him if he ever come down to singapore) its a shame he didnt get to see wifey, whom he called "Future Mrs Isk". He was so keen on meeting her.

Anyways, did brought him to see the entire city area of singapore. brought him to eat local dishes. and let him get his pair of croc shoes. which he wore on the spot. oh yeah, francis tagged along. though its not her first singapore visit, there are places which interest her... like the esplanade and the multiple malls we had in town.

tomorrow they are leaving. after the final meeting, thats gonna be the end of their trip. and they have told me that they are gonna work something out for them to get back here again, or vice versa. fingers crossed, i wanna get back to states if there is another opportunity. and if i could get babs on the plane as well, that would be a bonus. i want her to see the beauty of st helens, mount hood, the entire river gorge and the falls around it.
